Four bids to host UEFA Women’s EURO 2029

Final bid dossiers submitted by Denmark and Sweden (joint bid), Germany, Poland and Portugal.

UEFA today confirmed that it has received a final bid dossier to host the 2029 edition of the UEFA Women’s EURO from four bidders by the submission deadline of 18:00 CET on 28 August.

Bid dossiers were submitted by the football associations of Denmark and Sweden (a joint bid), Germany, Poland and Portugal*. UEFA also received confirmation from the football association of Italy that it has withdrawn its candidacy.

The appointment of host(s) for UEFA Women’s EURO 2029 will be announced on 3 December at UEFA’s Executive Committee meeting in Nyon.

*On 18 November 2025, the Portuguese Football Federation announced its decision to withdraw their bid to host UEFA Women’s EURO 2029.
