The 2026/27 UEFA Women's Europa Cup will be the second edition of the competition and follows the format of the inaugural 2025/26 event.

The tournament is played entirely in a two-legged knockout format, including the final. According to the provisional access list, 13 will teams enter the Women's Europa Cup directly, with 31 others transferring from Women's Champions League qualifying. The exact number will be confirmed when the final access list is published ahead of the new season.

How does the UEFA Women's Europa Cup work?

In 2026/27, 13 teams will enter the competition directly (the third-placed teams in the domestic leagues from the associations ranked 8 to 13 (Norway, Netherlands, Austria, Czechia, Ukraine and Denmark) and the runners-up of the associations ranked 18 to 24 (Iceland, Serbia, Belarus, Belgium, Slovenia, Croatia and Romania) will enter the competition directly, while a feeding system from the Women's Champions League will mean the Women's Europa Cup offers a second chance to the nine clubs eliminated in the third qualifying round as well as the runners-up and third-placed teams from the 11 second qualifying round tournaments.

The Women's Europa Cup will be a straight knockout tournament, played in parallel to the Women's Champions League. It will feature a total of six rounds – the first and second qualifying rounds, the round of 16, quarter-finals, semi-finals and final – all of which will be played over two legs (home and away).

The winners will automatically qualify for the third qualifying round of the champions path of the 2027/28 Women's Champions League, with one round to negotiate for a place in the league phase.
