Spain's domination of the UEFA European Women's Under-19 Championship continued in Poland in 2025 as they broke two Germany records by winning their fourth title in a row and seventh overall. Indeed, no nation had previously won any of UEFA's youth tournaments on four consecutive occasions.

In 2023 and 2024, Spain had successfully defended the title despite losing on Matchday 2. They were to repeat the feat, although after seven finals in a row decided by no more than one goal, this time the holders cruised to a 4-0 success in the trophy match, beating a France squad similar to that which had denied Spain two years earlier in the WU17 EURO final.

Women's Under-19 EURO highlights: France 0-4 Spain

Many of those 2023 WU17 stars shone for France in Group A as they got the better of Sweden 3-0, hosts Poland 6-0 (with a hat-trick by Liana Joseph, who eventually finished as top scorer on four goals) and Italy 2-1.

Italy equalised in added time against Poland on Matchday 1, and that would prove crucial after the loss to France. Poland needed to defeat Sweden by six goals to overtake Italy, but fell short at 5-0 despite making it three in the 85th minute and getting two more in added time.

After two matchdays in Group B, all four teams had three points. Spain beat Portugal, who beat England, who beat the Netherlands, who on Matchday 2 beat Spain (exactly as they had in 2024, before fortunes were reversed in the final). In the two group deciders, Portugal edged out the Netherlands 2-0 for second place and Spain, with a goal deep in stoppage time, pipped England 1-0 to finish top.

Semi-final highlights: France 4-3 Portugal

Both semi-finals went to extra time, Spain overcoming Italy 2-0 and France squeezing past Portugal 4-3, having led 2-0 in the 90th minute and 3-2 early in the additional period. The final was a different matter, though, as Cris Librán, Daniela Agote, Clara Serrajordi and Noe Bejarano gave Spain a hugely-impressive victory.

Bejarano, Librán, Aïcha Camara, Marísa García, Daniela Arques, Daniela Agote, Pau Comendador, Serrajordi, Celia Segura and Alba Cerrato were WU19 EURO champions for the second year running, while Cerrato, Serrajordi, Laia López, Amaya García, Emma Moreno, Irune Dorado and Segura had helped Spain beat England 4-0 in the WU17 EURO final 12 months earlier. France's Maeline Mendy, a 2023 WU17 winner, was named Player of the Tournament.
