Switzerland's Vanessa Bürki scored for the second game running to prevent Sweden opening up a commanding lead at the Group 2 summit.

Unbeaten in two
Both nations enjoyed victories on Tuesday - the Swiss 2-0 against Finland, Sweden 2-1 versus France - meaning maximum points at the Copet stadium in Vevey would have left either side within a point of the final tournament.

First to strike
The Swedes were the first to strike at this Swiss venue, Maria Karlsson scoring after 12 minutes. Switzerland came out pumped up after half-time and levelled matters inside three minutes as Bürki, the star player against the Finns, pounced to make it 1-1.

Elimination looms
Sweden are favourites to claim the automatic qualifying position from this group on Saturday as they tackle a Finland side who lost 1-0 to France today. The French will provide stiff opposition for Switzerland in a game in which a loss will mean elimination.
