Norway 0-0 Italy A goalless draw keeps both sides in control of Group B with one round of games left.

Heavy rain
Both teams had won their opening games in a pool also containing France and Russia, and knew that avoiding defeat today would keep them on track for the semi-finals and a place in the FIFA Under-19 Women's World Championship in November. However, they still played out a good match on a pitch that held up excellently despite heavy rain.

Norway attack
It was Norway, who began their campaign with a 2-0 victory against the holders France, who had the better of the play and the more significant chances, but Italian goalkeeper Chiara Marchitelli proved excellent, usually snuffing out attacks before they became serious, and was selected as the game's Most Valuable Player.

Ricco dismissed
Italy, 5-1 winners versus Russia on Wednesday, looked mainly to the counterattack, knowing, like Norway, that three more points would seal their semi-final place. But Italy had to play the last three minutes with ten players after striker Agnese Ricco, scorer of two goals against Russia, was dismissed after picking up a second booking.

Monday fixtures
The result means that both sides have their destiny in their own hands, and are only one point away from the last four. On Monday, Italy meet France and Norway tackle Russia.
