EURO starlets earn selection

WOMEN'S EURO 2005™ starlets Eniola Aluko and Karen Carney have been named in England's squad for Hungary.

Expected to impress
While Carney - who celebrates her 18th birthday the day after the final in Zalaegerszeg - and Aluko will be expected to turn on the style in Hungary, England have four Everton LFC players to call on, three of whom have already played in an FA Women's Cup final. Danielle Hill will be battling Carly Telford for the No1 spot, with Telford due to take up a football scholarship in America directly after the tournament.

Firepower
Marley will also look to the experience of Katie Holtham and the firepower of Danielle Bird, the scorer of seven goals from midfield in her last eight U19 internationals. England play Scotland on 20 July, followed by Russia two days later and France on 25 July. The group winners and runners-up will advance to the semi-finals as well as to the FIFA U-19 Women's World Championship in Russia.
