Article body
Seven places in this summer's finals in Switzerland will be filled as the UEFA European Women's Under-19 Championship second qualifying round concludes this weekend.
Winners progress
Groups 4 and 6 are the tightest, with the two leading teams meeting in each case with supremacy at stake. Only the winners of each of the seven mini-tournaments join the hosts in the finals.
If two or more teams are equal on points on completion of the group matches, the following criteria are applied to determine the rankings.
A - Higher number of points obtained in the group matches played among the teams in question.
B - Superior goal difference resulting from the group matches played among the teams in question.
C - Higher number of goals scored in the group matches played among the teams in question.
If, after having applied criteria A-C to several teams, two teams still have an equal ranking, the criteria A-C will be reapplied to determine the ranking of the two teams. If this procedure does not lead to a decision, the following will apply. Results of all group matches: 1) Superior goal difference, 2) Higher number of goals scored.
If two teams which have the same number of points and the same number of goals scored and conceded play their last group match against each other and are still equal at the end of that said match, the ranking of the two teams in question will be determined by kicks from the penalty mark. This procedure is only necessary if a ranking of the teams is required to determine the group winner.
