Sweden have claimed the last available place in the UEFA European Women's Under-19 Championship in Belarus after being confirmed as best runners-up in the second qualifying round.

Sweden through
Despite beating Denmark 1-0 in their last Group 1 game in Poland on Tuesday, Sweden finished below Iceland on goals scored in the mini-tournament. However, that victory, coupled with a 0-0 draw against the section winners, gave Sweden a total of four points against the teams finishing first and third in their group, more than fellow runners-up Belgium, Azerbaijan, the Republic of Ireland, the Netherlands and Spain.

Full lineup
That ensured Sweden joined group winners Germany, Iceland, Norway, France, England and Switzerland in the draw in Minsk on 12 May alongside hosts Belarus, whose nation will stage their first UEFA final tournament from 13-25 July. Last year in France, Norway went all the way to the final after qualifying as best runners-up, while the defending champions, Italy, have failed to qualify after finishing below Switzerland and the Netherlands in their group. This year's Women's U19 finals will also act as a qualifier for the 2010 FIFA U-20 Women's World Cup in Germany, with the host nation already assured of a place.
