Turkish Super League champions Besiktas JK have continued their spending spree by signing two promising young players.

Future prospects
Adanaspor AS's 23-year-old midfield player Ümit Aydin and defender Gökhan Zan from second division side Dardanelspor AS have both signed three-year contracts with an option for a further two years.

'One for the future'
Besiktas vice president Hüsnü Güreli confirmed the two transfers at a press conference. "We have been scouting Ümit for a long time and Gökhan is a transfer for future," he said.

'I want to win trophies'
Ümit enjoyed a successful season with Adanaspor, making 41 appearances and scoring two goals. Ümit, who has been capped by Turkey at Under-20 level, was delighted with the transfer. "I want to serve Besiktas for many, many years," he said. "I am hoping to win more trophies with the club in the coming seasons."

Rising star
21-year-old Gökhan had been a long-term transfer target for some of Europe’s top clubs, and has won two caps for both the Turkish U20 side and the Under-21 team.

Transfer activity
The signings are the latest in what promises to be a hectic summer of transfer activity for Besiktas, with Ahmed Hassan, Emre Asik, Sinan Kaloglu and Okan Koç all joining the Istanbul side.
