FC Girondins de Bordeaux are expecting to be without central defender Marc Planus for six weeks after the 24-year-old sustained a foot injury.
Troublesome foot
Planus played all 90 minutes of Tuesday's 0-0 UEFA Champions League draw at Galatasaray SK but his foot has deteriorated since and he has been walking with the aid of crutches. "The first scan - an ultrasound - revealed a damaged right foot which could sideline Marc for the next six weeks," said Bordeaux doctor Serge Dubeau. Should that prove correct, Planus could miss the French side's next three Group C games - a home tie against PSV Eindhoven followed by home and away fixtures against Liverpool FC.
