The 29-year-old Cameroon international has not featured for Arsenal since January after undergoing surgery and will now miss the remainder of their UEFA Champions League group stage fixtures. "I don't think you will see Lauren before January," said manager Arsène Wenger. "He's making good progress but he has four or five weeks before he comes back to normal training, then it'll take a month to come back into the team."

Lauren, who signed for Arsenal from Spanish side RCD Mallorca in 2000, has made 159 Premiership appearances for the London outfit, scoring seven goals. He last played in the team's 2-1 English League Cup semi-final victory against Wigan Athletic FC on 24 January.
