Olympique de Marseille centre-back Ronald Zubar is expected to miss at least the first leg of the UEFA Cup Round of 32 tie against FC Spartak Moskva after succumbing to a thigh injury.

'Three weeks at least'
The 22-year-old sustained the injury in training and could be sidelined for a month. Marseille coach Erik Gerets said: "He is ruled out for three weeks at least. It is a blow for us and for him." Marseille will welcome Spartak to France on 13 February with the return match taking place in Moscow eight days later. Zubar has made 13 Ligue 1 appearances this season for tenth-placed Marseille. The former SM Caen defender also featured twice in the UEFA Champions League, where OM finished third in Group A to enter the UEFA Cup knockout stage.
