Czech Republic striker Tomáš Necid has finished as the top scorer in the UEFA European Under-19 Championship having struck four goals in his four finals appearances.

Four goals
The SK Slavia Praha forward netted twice in the Czechs' opening game, a 2-0 win against England, and also scored in the 4-3 defeat by eventual finalists Italy with which the hosts concluded Group B. He struck again in the semi-final with Germany, although it was not enough to save the Czechs from elimination. Richard Sukuta-Pasu managed three goals, including Germany's second in their 3-1 final victory against Italy, while six players finished on two goals each, including Lars Bender after the Germany midfielder opened the scoring in the showpiece.

Pavlis prize
Greece's Michail Pavlis finished as the top scorer overall in the 2007/08 competition with seven goals, one more than Hungary striker Krisztián Németh and Germany's Timo Gebhart, who scored the clinching third goal in the final.
