Aston Villa have one foot in the UEFA Champions League quarter-finals as they welcome Club Brugge to Birmingham defending a 3-1 advantage for the conclusion of the teams' round of 16 tie.

Unai Emery's side had lost 1-0 in Bruges on Matchday 4 but took a third-minute lead through Leon Bailey in the first leg on 4 March. Maxim De Cuyper levelled for the home side within nine minutes but, just as it looked set to finish level, Brandon Mechele's 82nd-minute own goal restored Villa's advantage, Marco Asensio stretching it from the penalty spot two minutes from time.
