Bodø/Glimt take a 2-0 lead to Rome for the second leg of their UEFA Europa League quarter-final against Lazio, aiming to become the first Norwegian team to reach the final four of a UEFA competition.
Lazio finished top of the inaugural league phase but have it all to do in their own stadium after two second-half goals from midfielder Ulrik Saltnes settled the first leg in Norway in favour of Kjetil Knutsen's side.
The first leg was a first meeting between the sides in UEFA competition and only the third time Lazio had faced a team from Norway.

Lazio's only previous matches against a Norwegian team prior to the first leg were two wins against Rosenborg in the 2015/16 Europa League group stage (3-1 h, 2-0 a).
Marco Baroni's side finished top of the league phase (W6 D1 L1), earning a round of 16 tie against Viktoria Plzeň. The first leg in Czechia proved a dramatic affair with Gustav Isaksen scoring in the 98th minute to secure a 2-1 victory despite the visitors being down to nine men following the dismissals of Nicolò Rovella and Samuel Gigot.
Alessio Romagnoli's second-leg header secured a 1-1 draw and a 3-2 aggregate win as Lazio reached their first European quarter-final in seven years.
The Italian side are in their sixth UEFA Cup/Europa League quarter-final, where their record is W2 L3. They have lost their last two, most recently 5-6 on aggregate against Salzburg in 2017/18.
Their most recent win at this stage came in 2002/03 when they won 3-1 on aggregate against Beşiktaş before going down 1-4 across two legs in the semi-final against Porto.
Lazio lost 2-0 in an away first leg of UEFA competition at this stage of the 2012/13 Europa League, going on to be eliminated 3-1 by Fenerbahçe.
In ten previous UEFA ties when they have lost the first leg away from home they have progressed on four occasions and been eliminated six times, most recently in the 2021/22 Europa League knockout phase play-off when a 1-2 defeat at Porto was followed by a 2-2 draw in Rome.

Prior to the first leg, Bodø/Glimt's previous four matches against Italian opposition all came against Roma in the 2021/22 Conference League campaign, an eye-catching 6-1 home win against José Mourinho's side in the group stage preceding a 2-2 away draw. Another home success followed in the first leg of their quarter-final (2-1) but the eventual champions exacted their revenge with a 4-0 victory in the second leg.
The 2-2 draw at Roma is the only time in six visits to Italy they have avoided defeat.
The Norwegian club, who won their fourth Norwegian title in five seasons at the start of December, beating Lillestrøm 5-2 on the final day to secure the trophy, just missed out on automatic qualification to the Europa League round of 16 due to a ninth-place finish in the league phase.
That brought a knockout phase play-off against Twente, Bodø/Glimt losing the first leg 1-2 but eventually progressing after a 5-2 extra-time victory in the second leg in Norway to secure a 6-4 aggregate success.
A 3-0 home win against UEFA Conference League holders Olympiacos in the the round of 16 first leg paved the way for a 4-2 aggregate triumph, Kasper Høgh scoring three of his side's four goals in the tie.
They have won seven of their last nine two-legged ties in Europe.
Bodø/Glimt have lost only two of their last eight Europa League matches (W5 D1), but have been beaten in three of their last four away games (D1).
Høgh has scored six goals in Bodø/Glimt's last seven Europa League matches and is joint-top scorer on seven goals alongside Olympiacos' Ayoub El Kaabi.
Bodø/Glimt have progressed from 11 of their previous 15 UEFA ties when they have won the first leg at home; this is the first time they have won the first leg by a margin of two goals.

Bodø/Glimt defender Haitam Aleesami played for Palermo between 2016 and 2019, making 95 appearances including in a 1-0 defeat against Lazio on 27 November 2016.
Jens Petter Hauge joined AC Milan from Bodø/Glimt in 2020/21, making 27 appearances and scoring eight goals. He was a late substitute in a 3-2 victory against Lazio on 23 December 2020.
