Eight players managed a score of eight points or more on #UCLfantasy, presented by Playstation, as Inter and Paris Saint-Germain held off Barcelona and Arsenal respectively in two thrilling UEFA Champions League semi-final second legs.
GOALKEEPERS
While he may have conceded three goals in the second leg, a fantastic individual showing from Yann Sommer (€5.5m) led to the experienced Swiss goalkeeper being named Player of the Match after helping Inter through to a second Champions League final in three seasons. Sommer make seven saves on Matchday 16, his Player of the Match award boosting him to six points.
None of the four clubs in action on Matchday 16 kept a clean sheet, but departing Arsenal goalkeeper David Raya (€5.6m) came away with seven points, the most of any keeper, after saving Vitinha's penalty and making four saves overall. With over a quarter of Fantasy bosses owning Raya, there could be plenty of goalkeeper transfers leading up to the final.
With nine saves across the two legs, Gianluigi Donnarumma (€5.8m) was key to Paris' progression. Four of those came on Matchday 16, when the Italian added three Fantasy points to his season total, which now stands at 53.
DEFENDERS
Plenty of Fantasy eyes were on Denzel Dumfries (€5.6m) after his three goal involvements in the first leg of Inter's tie against Barcelona. A popular Fantasy transfer prior to the Matchday 16 deadline, Dumfries proved a worthwhile investment with two assists and eight points making it two goals, three assists and 27 points for the Dutchman over the two legs.
However, Dumfries was not the highest-scoring defender of Matchday 16, Achraf Hakimi (€5.8m) scoring 12 points. The full-back was the only Fantasy player to reach double figures after scoring Paris' second goal against Arsenal alongside four ball recoveries and the Player of the Match award.
Francesco Acerbi (€4.5m) also shone from a Fantasy perspective, making ten ball recoveries and scoring the equalising goal for Inter in second-half stoppage time. Barcelona pair Eric García (€4.1m) and Gerard Martín (€3.8m) each managed nine points in the same fixture, but neither will feature in the final.
MIDFIELDERS
The highest scorer among midfielders on Matchday 16 was differential Fabián Ruiz (€6.7m). Owned by just 1% of Fantasy managers, the Spaniard accumulated nine points after hitting Paris' opening goal from outside the box. Team-mates João Neves (€5.6m) and Ousmane Dembélé (€8.7m) each recorded four points, the latter coming off the bench to pick up his 12th goal involvement in this season's Champions League with the assist for Hakimi's goal.
The two second legs each featured a penalty, one of those converted by Hakan Çalhanoğlu (€7.0m), Inter's top-scoring Fantasy midfielder. Çalhanoğlu scored 14 points over the course of the semi-finals and has 64 overall including four goals, two assists and 48 ball recoveries.
However, the Champions League final will take place without this season's top Fantasy scorer. After his 13th goal of the competition, his 22nd goal involvement, Barcelona's Raphinha (€7.9m) finished the campaign with a mammoth 137 points, 20 points more than Hakimi, the highest scorer set to feature in Munich.
FORWARDS
Lautaro Martínez (€9.4m) shook off an injury to start for Inter and those Fantasy bosses who kept the Argentinian in their side were rewarded. The in-form striker opened the scoring in Milan with his fourth goal of this season's knockout stage and his eighth in seven Champions League appearances.
Martínez was the only Fantasy forward to find the net with team-mates Marcus Thuram (€7.6m) and Mehdi Taremi (€7.1m) recording three and five points respectively, Taremi managing an assist off the bench.
Popular Fantasy selection Robert Lewandowski (€9.7m) was unable to add to his 11 goals and will play no further part, but Paris teenager Désiré Doué (€4.9m) is likely to see another ownership spike ahead of the final.
