The UEFA Appeals Body has announced the following decisions:
Match: 2021/22 UEFA Europa League, Olympique de Marseille vs. Galatasaray A.Ş. (0:0) played on 30 September 2021 in France.
AB Decision:
The appeal lodged by Galatasaray A.Ş. is dismissed. Consequently, the UEFA Control, Ethics and Disciplinary Body’s decision of 18 October 2021 is confirmed.
The CEDB had decided to ban Galatasaray A.Ş from selling tickets to its away supporters for the next two (2) UEFA competition matches and to fine Galatasaray A.Ş €50,000, for lighting of fireworks and throwing of objects.
The CEDB had also decided to fine Galatasaray A.Ş €8,000 for acts of damage and to order Galatasaray A.Ş to contact Olympique de Marseille within 30 days for the settlement of the damages caused by its supporters.
Match: 2021/22 UEFA Europa League, West Ham United FC vs. SK Rapid Wien (2:0) played on 30 September 2021 in England.
AB Decision:
The appeal lodged by SK Rapid Wien is partially upheld. Consequently, the UEFA Control, Ethics and Disciplinary Body’s decision of 18 October 2021 is amended as follows:
To fine SK Rapid Wien €30,000 and to ban SK Rapid Wien from selling tickets to its away supporters for the next one (1) UEFA competition match, for throwing of objects.
Regarding the ban on SK Rapid Wien from selling tickets to its away supporters for the next one (1) UEFA competition match, such sanction has already been served on 4 November 2021 at the occasion of the 2021/22 UEFA Europa League match between Dinamo Zagreb and SK Rapid Wien.
