A week after winning the Premijer Liga title FK Željezničar added their fifth Bosnian-Herzegovinian Cup to their collection by closing out a narrow 1-0 aggregate final victory against NK Široki Brijeg.

Though this return leg finished goalless, with Goran Zakarić passing up an excellent late chance for the hosts to force extra time and penalties, the stalemate ensured the holders retained their trophy after winning the first leg through Muamer Svraka's solitary goal at the Grbavica Stadium on 25 April.

The visitors might have doubled their aggregate lead with just four minutes played when Benjamin Čolić fired wide. Široki Brijeg battled gamely, though, and at the other end Juan Manuel Varea missed a glorious chance to level on 33 minutes with only Željezničar goalkeeper Adnan Gušo to beat.

Thereafter there was little to separate the two sides and after Zakarić fluffed his lines with eight minutes remaining, Željezničar were able to celebrate a double-winning season and a 27-match unbeaten sequence in the Bosnian-Herzegovinian Cup that has spanned three seasons.

"We managed to keep our first-leg lead and win our second title this season," said Željezničar coach Amar Osim. "We have proven therefore that we are, at the moment, the best club in the country."
