Garbarnia Szczakowianka Jaworzno have signed Ryszard Czerwiec and Marek Kubisz.

Newly promoted Polish Ekstraklasa club Garbarnia Szczakowianka Jaworzno have signed two experienced players, Ryszard Czerwiec and Marek Kubisz.

'Staying at the top'
Czerwiec, capped 28 times by Poland, has won the first division title with both Widzew Lódz and TS Wisla Kraków and also has UEFA Champions League experience with Widzew from six seasons ago. "I signed a one-and-a-half year year contract with Garbarnia. I was born here, my first club was Victoria Jaworzno and that’s why I decided to join the club. Our taget for the new season can be only one – staying at the top for next season," said the player who is expected to be Garbarnia's playmaker for the next campaign and who has joined for an unknown fee.

'Experienced player'
Kubisz, 28-years-old, has arrived from GKS Katowice after spending five years with the Katowice-based club. When his contract expired, Kubisz opted for Garbrania and signed a one-and-a-half year contract with the club after playing in 144 Ekstraklasa games and scoring 33 goals for Katowice. "I'm very happy that after Ryszrad Czerwiec, another experienced player has decided to play for us," Piotr Wrona, Garbarnia's vice president, said of the club's new signing.
