The 28-year-old was presented with his award in advance of the final round of Bulgarian league games, which takes place at the weekend. National team boss Stanimir Stoilov was honoured as the Coach of the Season, having led his club side – PFC Litex Lovech – to a 3-0 Bulgarian Cup final triumph against PFC Pirin Blagoevgrad two weeks ago. He previously won the same prize as PFC Levski Sofia coach. Pirin's 19-year-old striker Spas Delev was named Young Player of the Season.
