FK Belasica GC hit top spot in the Prva Fudbalska Liga after beating FK Makedonija Skopje.

FK Belasica GC hit top spot in the Prva Fudbalska Liga with a comfortable 3-0 win on Saturday.

Belasica in rampant form
FK Makedonija Skopje were no match for Belasica despite holding their visitors at bay until half-time, and three goals in eight second-half minutes proved their undoing. Robert Popov opened the scoring with a wonderful goal after 60 minutes before Zoran Baldovaliev scored directly from a corner six minutes later. Yugoslavian striker Ljubisa Nikolic sealed the victory with his ninth goal of the season.

No joy for Makedonija
Ljubisa Savic and Oliver Rec were unlucky not to extend the advantage with shots that cannoned back off the crossbar. The home side's brightest moment came when Bobi Bozinovski also hit the woodwork.

Sloga grind out a win
In Skopje, FK Sloga Jugomagnat saw off visiting FK Pelister 3-2. Pelister opened the scoring through Toni Pitoska after a slip by Zoran Jovanoski after 32 minutes but Sloga levelled before the break when Goran Stankoski beat goalkeeper Nikola Kitanovski. Refik Arif put Sloga in front in the 57th minute and Argend Bekiri hammered in a third on the hour. Pitoska reduced the arrears when he grabbed his second with 17 minutes remaining from Martin Trajcev's cross.
