Lengthy contract
The 26-year-old midfield player passed a medical at Ibrox on Monday evening before signing a five-and-a-half year contract after the two clubs agreed a fee, which could rise as high as €7.2m depending on appearances.
Second spell
Ferguson, who has 26 caps for his country, made 153 appearances for Rangers in his first spell at the Scottish Premier League side before joining Blackburn for €9.4m in August 2003. A serious knee injury sustained in December 2003 restricted him to 14 league matches in his first season in England, although Ferguson missed just one Premiership game this term.
