Bundesliga bottom side 1. FSV Mainz have signed Werder Bremen defender Leon Andreasen on loan for the rest of the season with the option for a further 12 months.

Bundesliga bottom side 1. FSV Mainz 05 have signed Werder Bremen defender Leon Andreasen on loan for the rest of the season with the option for a further 12 months.

Babatz leaves Mainz
The Danish 23-year-old, who played in two UEFA Champions League matches for Bremen this season as they earned a place in the UEFA Cup Round of 32, joined from AFG Ǻrhus for €1.8 million in summer 2005 and last summer took part in the UEFA European Under-21 Championship in Portugal. Leaving Mainz is midfielder Christof Babatz, who has joined 2. Bundesliga side TuS Koblenz.
