Portuguese UEFA Cup contenders SC Braga have handed goalkeeper Paulo Santos a new two-year contract, tying him to the northern club until 2009.
Single absence
The 34-year-old, who joined Braga three summers ago from FC Porto, missed just one game as Jorge Costa's men finished fourth in the Liga and reached the last 16 of the UEFA Cup. "I'm delighted to continue playing for a club that is getting stronger and stronger. I feel happy here because I love the city and the fans. I will keep on giving everything I've got to help Braga achieve their goals," said the stopper, who has a single international cap to his name.
