FC Sopron have been withdrawn from the top flight for the rest of the season after the Hungarian Football Federation (MLSZ) withdrew their licence for financial reasons.

Final decision
The MLSZ ruled on 4 January that the 2005 Hungarian Cup winners would be denied a licence because of debts to the tax office, players and other staff, and the club from the west of Hungary chose not to mount an appeal. It has been decided that Sopron will remain on the 1. Liga table with zero points while all their games in the spring will be awarded as victories to their opponents.
