Positive impression
The 40-year-old succeeds Thierry Siquet who was dismissed after Saturday's 1-0 defeat by KRC Genk. Collins takes over at a club sitting eleventh in the Eerste Klasse standings and said: "I already knew the club and my first impression was positive. I can see the board are very motivated and enthusiastic about progression. The club is not doing so well at the moment, but that can change fast."

Hibernian role
Collins' experience of coaching is limited to a 14-month spell at Hibernian FC which ended in December 2007, but he did win the Scottish League Cup with the Easter Road outfit and brings a wealth of knowledge from his playing days. He was capped 58 times by Scotland and played for Hibernian, Celtic FC, Everton FC and Fulham FC as well as taking in a two-year spell at AS Monaco FC.
