Andrew Tembo scored a spectacular winner for Odense BK as his side upset runaway Superligaen leaders Brøndby IF 4-3 on Sunday.

Early lead
Odense had raced into an early lead when Torben Sangild headed home a Fernando Derveld corner after only four minutes. Two minutes later Mwape Miti was put through one-on-one with Mogens Krogh, placing the ball between the goalkeeper's legs to double the lead. Brøndby, suffering something of a winter break hangover, went three behind after 37 minutes when Tembo tried a speculative long range shot which eluded the unsighted Krogh.

Late goal
Mattias Jonson threw Brøndby a 64th minute lifeline with a near post header and ten minutes later Mads Jørgensen reduced the deficit further by sliding home a second. With eleven minutes left Peter Madsen rammed home an equaliser for Brøndby who appeared set for a share of the points. But with two minutes remaining Zambian striker Tembo blasted a 22-metre winner into the top left corner to earn Odense all three points.

Rivals held
Brøndby stay nine points clear at the top of the table as their nearest rivals, FC København, were held to a goalless draw by lowly AGF Århus. The champions were forced to play almost the entire match with ten-men after Tomas Antonelius was sent off in only the second minute.

Five-star Vejle
Bottom club Lyngby FC were thumped 5-2 by Vejle BK in Sunday's other game. Jesper Duelund put Lyngby in front inside the opening 60 seconds before the Vejle onslaught started. Goals by Jan Sønksen, a Calle Facius penalty and Tommy Schramm put Vejle in command before the interval, with Ulrik Balling scoring twice in the second period to secure the points. Patrick Kuklinski scored Lyngby's second consolation goal.
