Évian Thonon Gaillard FC and FC Girondins de Bordeaux completed the Coupe de France semi-final lineup after two exciting ties tonight.
FC Lorient and Ligue 1 bottom side ES Troyes AC won their quarter-finals on Tuesday, and the third side through were Bordeaux, as they prevailed 3-2 at the sole remaining non top-flight side RC Lens. Évian then beat Paris Saint-Germain FC 4-1 on penalties after a 1-1 draw in Annecy.
PSG were ahead early on through Javier Pastore's volley but Saber Khelifa levelled after a counterattack just before the break. The game ended up in extra time, with PSG's Thiago Motta sent off near the end for a foul on Cédric Barbosa but no more goals. Évian scored their first two penalties while Zlatan Ibrahimović and Thiago Silva both failed to convert, and Khelifa and Cédric Barbosa ended PSG's hopes. Évian will welcome Lorient in the last four after Wednesday night's draw.
Cédric Carrasso's early own goal had put Lens in front against Bordeaux to the delight of a packed Stade Félix-Bollaert but Grégory Sertic's free-kick levelled matters just before the hour mark. Cheick Diabaté then put Bordeaux in control with strikes on 81 and 86 minutes, but there was still a nervous finish as substitute Zakarya Bergdich gave Lens hope and Ludovic Obraniak's penalty for the visitors was saved, but they are now one game from a first final in 26 years, travelling to Troyes.
