Four-year contract

Golden season
The former CD Alavés player was crowned top scorer of the Spanish league in the 2000/01 season - a campaign in which he also reached the UEFA Cup final, although Alavés lost 5-4 on a 'golden goal' to Liverpool FC.
'I am happy'
"I did not really expect to move to Atlético," Moreno said. "But I am happy to return to Spain, and I feel good. The prospects presented to me by the club are very interesting, and they also include some major transfers to further strengthen the team."
Aragonés a factor
One of the reasons Moreno opted for a move to Atlético is the presence of coach Luis Aragonés. "He is a coach that knows perfectly well what he does," Moreno said. "He works very seriously and is very direct in what he does, so I think we are going to have a very good relationship."
Contract extensions
Atlético have also announced thaat they have extended the contracts of Portuguese striker Dani (by three years) and team captain and central defender Santi Denia (by four years).
