Atlético swoop for Tenerife goalkeeper

Club Atlético de Madrid have announced the signing of goalkeeper Sergio Aragones Almeida from second division club CD Tenerife.

Three-year contract
The 25-year old has signed a three-year contract with an option for a one-year extension. Aspart of the deal Yugoslavian midfield player Veljko Paunovic will move to Tenerife who will also receive €1.8m.

Buy-back clause
It is likely that Aragones will continue to play at Tenerife during the coming season before moving to Atlético, who also will be able to buy Paunovic back at the end of the season if they so desire.
