Udinese Calcio have terminated the contract of Thomas Thorninger.

Little success
The charismatic striker joined the Italian club in January 2002 from FC København but has had little success in establishing himself. "I have been sitting on the bench for so long," said Thorninger, who is optimistic about the future.

Moving back
"I don't expect to hit the peak of my form until after the summer break but of course I hope to find a club where I can immediately join training," added the 30-year old Thorninger who will move back to Aarhus where he studied at the local university while playing for AGF Åarhus in 1996.

The white torpedo
"I have been in contact with [FC] Midtjylland, Silkeborg [IF] and of course AGF," said 'the white torpedo' who only played 15 minutes for Udinese during 2002. Thorninger began his career at Vejle BK before spells at PSV Eindhoven, AGF, AC Perugia and FCK, with whom he won the Danish title in 2001.
