Malmö defeated
The champions learnt just days ago that coach Tom Prahl would be leaving for Malmö FF at the end of the season, but ensured the week ended on a high thanks to two strikes by Tommy Jonsson, the second a penalty.
Hope for Trelleborg
In stark contrast Prahl's future employers were soundly beaten 3-1 at home by bottom club Trelleborgs FF. Two goals by Gregor Andrijevski and a third by Patrick Svensson put the struggling visitors 3-0 up inside the hour before Jorgen Ohlsson's strike salvaged a hint of respectability. Trelleborg's win brings them to within a point of relegation rivals
Sundsvall denied
GIF Sundsvall who looked good before going down 3-2 to a late winner at IF Elfsborg. Michael Brundin's second-half strike levelled the score at two apiece after Franca Fogaca and Christian Lundström had answered Dennis Ostlundh's opener. But Jurica Siljanoski's first Allsvenskan goal with one minute to go proved the decider.
AIK and Helsingborg draw
AIK Solna and Helsingborgs IF are separated by a single point in mid-table and the equal abilities of the two sides were clear in an exciting 2-2 draw. Andreas Alm and Martin Aslund twice put the home side ahead and twice Helsingborg hit back through Michael Hansson and a Hans Eklund spot-kick.
Örebro pile on misery
And in a night of high scores it was Örebro SK FK who led the way with a 5-3 home win over IFK Norrköping. In a thrilling game that could have gone either way, the outcome was only settled when Paul Ogoya netted Örebro's fifth on the stroke of full-time.
