FC WIT Georgia Tbilisi defeated FC Dinamo Tbilisi 1-0 to move level on seven points with their local rivals after five rounds of Georgian Premier League matches.

Second victory
Aleksandr Gogoberishvili's second-half strike was enough to seal the home side's second win of the season in front of a crowd of 1,500 at the Shevardeni stadium.

Driven winner
FC Lokomotiv Tbilisi moved into fifth place, two points above both Dinamo and WIT, after beating FC Guria Lanchkhuti 1-0 away in Monday's other game. David Goderdzishvili drove home the winner after 57 minutes to ensure Guria suffered their fourth defeat in five matches.

Fifth straight defeat
At least Guria have a point to show for their efforts so far this term, unlike FC Metalurgi Zestaponi who remain anchored to the foot of the table after losing their fifth straight league game on Sunday. FC Merani-91 Tbilisi became the latest club to profit from Metalurgi's poor form; Valeri Gagua's stunning strike separating the sides.

Perfect record
FC Torpedo Kutaisi remain two points clear of Merani-91 after maintaining their 100 per cent record with a 3-0 away victory over FC Gorda Rustavi. Mikhail Ashvetia's tenth minute strike set the champions on their way before the same player made it 2-0 inside 20 minutes. Dimitri Paramonovi added a late third to seal a comfortable victory in the Metalurgi stadium.

Late strikes
FC Dinamo Batumi moved into third place, five points behind Torpedo, after they beat FC Samgurali Tskaltubo 1-0 and FC Kolkheti-1913 Poti surprisingly lost 2-1 at FC Sioni Bolnisi. Shalva Afkhazava was on target for Batumi, while two late strikes in Bolsini put paid to Kolkheti's hopes of closing the gap on the leaders.
