West Ham United FC have confirmed the transfer of Scottish international Don Hutchison from FA Premiership rivals Sunderland AFC.
€8m deal
Hutchison, 30, has signed an €8m deal. He left Scotland's training camp for Saturday's match with Croatia to undergo a medical after agreeing personal terms with West Ham manager Glenn Roeder. It will be his second spell at the London club.
Midfield search
Hutchison, who has also played for Liverpool FC, Sheffield United FC and Everton FC, dismissed reports he left Sunderland because his wife had failed to settle. Roeder had been searching for a new midfielder since the summer departure of Frank Lampard to Chelsea FC.
