Article body
Fresh from pulling off one of the biggest shocks of the Danish Superleague season on Monday, winning 4-1 at Aalborg BK, AGF Århus now look to have eased their financial problems as four local companies and a wealthy Danish banker have joined forces to put €3m into the club.
Financial boost
Aarhus Printing Press, Aarhus Oil, EKV Transport, and Pressalit and Unibank will buy shares for €2m, while a 60-year-old expatriate will invest around €1m into the club.
Stadium plans
At the same time, AGF are negotiating with local authorities in Aarhus to take over the Århus stadium, which has been majorly redeveloped over the past two years.
Long-term goal
AGF are paying a high yearly rent to make use of the stadium and are hoping to make a settlement which is more financially viable to the club in the long run.
