Belgium: Penalty winner for Lokeren

Sporting Lokeren St-Niklaas Waasland moved to fourth place in the Belgian first division with a 1-0 victory over R. Charleroi SC on Wednesday.

The winning goal came from the penalty spot in the 73rd minute, after Frank Defays was adjudged to have fouled Roman Vonasek. Arnar Grétarsson stepped up to take the kick and made no mistake. A gloomy night for Charleroi was made worse by the sending off of defender Ernest Etchi for two bookable offences with 12 minutes to play.
