Article body
Newcomers FC Den Bosch continued their consistent form in the top flight on Sunday with a 1-1 draw at home to FC Utrecht in round ten of Eredivisie.
Draw specialists
Despite coming back from a goal down, the result was their fourth draw in a row. The Hertogenbosch side have held NAC Breda, Sparta Rotterdam and Feyenoord to stalemates in recent weeks.
Tanghe opener
Utrecht worked hard to break down their hosts and finally made the breakthrough in the 58th minute when Stefaan Tanghe found the back of the net. But the home side pulled level eleven minutes from time after George Mourad conceded a penalty by fouling Stijn Vreven.
One apiece
Northern neighbours FC Groningen and SC Heerenveen fought out a 1-1 draw that was long on commitment but short on creative endeavour. The visitors took the lead in the 32nd minute when Mika Nurmela's free-kick, won by Jeffrey Talan from Paul Matthijs' challenge, was deflected past Roy Beukenkamp. However, Dwight Lodeweges' side hit back six minutes later with a terrific effort from Ali Boussaboun.
The Tumba show
Zico Tumba scored one and made the other as NEC Nijmegen secured a 2-0 victory over FC Twente. The Congolese striker set up Patrick Ax for the opener in the 24th minute and secured the win with a goal of his own six minutes into the second half.
