Kaklamanos opener
Alexandros Kaklamanos opened the scoring on 40 minutes after heading home Anders Nielsen's cross and the visitors extended their lead 60 seconds later when Dlima Oyawolé slipped through the offside trap to finish with ease.
Nielsen seals it
Gent put the game beyond Eendracht four minutes after half-time when Nielsen raced through to score. Patrick Dimbala grabbed a consolation for the home side in the 57th minute.
Lange double
Second-placed Club Brugge KV kept up the pressure on Gent with a 3-1 win at home to KFC Lommelse SK. Rune Lange scored twice in the first 11 minutes to put them on their way.
Late exchange
Szolt Bárányos reduced the deficit five minutes from time, but Sandy Martens added a third for the home side two minutes later to seal their win and keep them one point behind the leaders.
Quédec winner
Elsewhere, Nicolas Quédec popped up in the 90th minute to settle RAA Louviéroise’s game against K. Sint Truidense VV with the only goal of the game.
Missed chance
On Sunday evening, KRC Genk missed the chance to take over at the top after they could only manage a 1-1 draw with R. Standard de Liège.
Fell behind
Genk dominated the opening stages but fell behind when Eric van Meir headed home from Johan Walem's free-kick in the 24th minute. Standard levelled on 62 minutes through Hans Leenders.
