Minasian opener
Vardan Minasian opened the scoring with a 17th-minute penalty before Mali international Malat N'Diaye doubled the lead 12 minutes later. Razmik Grigorian did manage to pull one back for Spartak on the stroke of half-time but an equalizer proved beyond them. The win means that Pyunik now need only one more point to secure the title.
Zvartnots lead chase
Second-placed FC Zvartnots AAL lead the chase for a UEFA Cup place after their 1-0 win over FC MIKA. Nver Khachatrian scored the only goal of the game on the half-hour mark for the home side.
Movsisian double
Two goals by Alen Movsisian, on 14 and 65 minutes, gave FC Lernagorts a 2-0 win over Armenia's Soviet-era power, FC Ararat Yerevan. Meanwhile, Gor Atabekian's 25th-minute penalty gave FC Kotaik a 1-0 win over FC Dinamo-2000 Yerevan and FC Banants recorded a 4-1 win over FC Gharabagh, Artur Minasian netting a brace for Banants.
