Croatian striker Davor Suker has joined TSV 1860 München, the 1. Bundesliga club announced on Thursday.

Undisclosed terms
The 33-year-old, who has been without a club since leaving FA Premiership outfit West Ham United FC last season, signed a contract until the end of the current season for undisclosed terms.

International pedigree
Suker won 64 caps for Croatia and was the top scorer at the 1998 FIFA World Cup finals in France, where Croatia lost to eventual champions France in the semi-final after knocking out Germany with a shock 3-0 quarter-final victory.

Career details
Suker began his career as a 16-year-old with hometown club NK Osijek before moving to NK Dinamo Zagreb in 1989 and Sevilla FC in 1991. After establishing himself as one of the most feared forwards in Spain during his five years at the Sánchez Pizjuán stadium he was snapped up by Real Madrid CF and fired them to the Primera División crown in his first season in the capital.

Friday training
Recognised as one of the most skilful strikers in world football, with a powerful left foot, Suker spent more than three years at Madrid, before trying his luck in England with Arsenal FC and subsequently West Ham. He will train with the 1860 team for the first time on Friday morning.
