Estonia: Lootus secure top-flight status

FC Lootus-Kohtla Järve secured their Meistriliiga status with a 1-0 second-leg win against FC Valga in the Estonian promotion/relegation play-off on Sunday.

Away goal
Juri Abornev's 78th-minute strike levelled the aggregate scores at 2-2, but Lootus won overall due to Konstantin Golitsõn's invaluable away goal from the first leg.

Cup result
The second leg of the Estonian Super Cup was also played on Sunday, with FC Levadia Maardu winning 3-1 on the day against JK Trans Narva to secure a 5-1 aggregate victory.

Late strikes
The visitors gave Maardu a run for their money after Maksim Gruznov scored in the 59th minute. But three goals in the last five minutes -from Indro Olumets, Vladimir Tshelnokov, and Sergei Bragin -demolished hopes of a comeback.
