FC Nantes Atlantique remain rooted to the bottom of the Division 1 table after losing 2-1 at home to Paris Saint-Germain FC on Sunday evening.

Bonilla returns
Colombian Victor Bonilla, returning from an injury break, scored on the half-hour to put Nantes ahead from a perfect cross by Olivier Quint. Quint was then unlucky not to extend the hosts' lead, as his effort hit the post shortly before the break.

Ronaldinho winner
The second half went PSG's way, with Nigeria's Bartholomew Ogbeche levelling the scores in the 57th minute. Nantes, into the second group stage of the UEFA Champions League despite their poor domestic form, were then rocked by a second PSG goal just four minutes later. Brazilian forward Ronaldinho increased the visitors' advantage as he finished neatly after fine work by Argentinian defender Gabriel Heinze.

Lyon close in
Olympique Lyonnais closed in on Le Championnat leaders RC Lens as they humbled AJ Auxerre 3-0 at the Gerland stadium on Sunday.

Convincing win
Lyon, who did not seem affected by their 4-1 defeat against Club Brugge KV in the UEFA Cup on Thursday, scored through Jean-Marc Chanelet and Pegguy Luyindula in the first half, with Philippe Violeau sealing victory eight minutes from the end. The win put them two points behind Lens, who drew 1-1 at Esperance Sportive Troyes AC on Saturday.

Early goal
Defender Chanelet volleyed home in the 14th minute after Auxerre defender Jean-Alain Boumsong failed to clear the ball from a dangerous cross from Lyon's Eric Carrière. Luyindula made it 2-0 shortly before the break after a fine combination with Brazilian playmaker Juninho Pernambucano. Violeau's 82nd minute free kick was a masterpiece.

Lille maintain home record
Lille OSC ousted Auxerre from third place with a hard-fought 1-0 victory over Stade Rennais FC. Lille, who have a perfect home record of seven wins out of seven games, got the winner when Sylvain N'Diaye set up the goal for Johnny Ecker in the 48th minute. Lille are on 29 points, three behind Lens and one behind Lyon.
