An 88th-minute goal from AZ Alkmaar forward Robin Nelisse gave his side a 1-0 win against FC Groningen on Tuesday.

An 88th-minute goal from AZ Alkmaar forward Robin Nelisse gave his side a 1-0 win against FC Groningen in Tuesday night's Eredivisie encounter at the Oosterpark stadium.

Only real chance
The former Feyenoord striker converted the only real chance of the game with two minutes remaining, heading in a Barry van Galen corner. Nelisse had entered the fray as a 68th-minute substitute for Ali Elkhattabi.

Struggling teams
Other than Nelisse's goal, Danish striker Kenneth Perez had the only other half-chance but failed to connect with the ball from close range.

Yellow cards
Matthias Floren's yellow card for a foul on Jan Kronkamp just before half-time and another for Jannes Walters within minutes of the restart were the only other events of note.

Den Bosch on the rise
In Tuesday's other Eredivisie game a double strike from Bart van den Eede helped FC Den Bosch overcome De Graafschap 3-1 to move three points clear of the relegation zone.

'Bartigol' on form
The Belgian, nicknamed Bartigol after his 23 goals in last season's Toto Divisie title triumph, scored his fourth and fifth of this campaign. His intervention was a timely one after Fabian de Freitas equalised for De Graafschap following Peter van Vossen's first-minute opener.
