Without a club
The former Real Madrid CF and Arsenal FC striker has signed a contract with 1860 until the end of the current campaign for an undisclosed fee. He found the net in his first match for the 1. Bundesliga side last night against VfL Borussia Mönchengladbach at the Olympiastadion, Munich.
Stunning comeback
The visitors had led 3-1 at the break, but 1860 managed a stunning comeback to win the tie 4-3, with Croatian international Suker scoring his side's third goal in the 54th minute. Before joining 1860 on 15 November, the 33-year-old had been without a club since leaving West Ham United FC at the end of the 2000/01 season.
Golden boot
Suker was the top scorer at the 1998 FIFA World Cup in France and won 64 caps for his country. He began his career at the age of 16 with his hometown club NK Osijek, before moving to NK Dinamo Zagreb in 1989, followed by Sevilla FC in 1991.
