SK Tirana went to the top of the Liga e Pare on Saturday after beating KS Teuta 1-0 in a round-ten match in the Albanian capital.
Just reward
Eldorado Merkoci scored Tirana's winning goal in the 63rd minute after getting on the end of Indrit Fortuzi's free-kick. The goal was just reward for the hosts, who had hit a post through Fortuzi in the first half.
Seven-goal rout
KS Luftëtari's miserable season continued as they were beaten 7-0 at KS Shkumbini. Klodian Dervishi and Astrit Nexha both scored twice as Luftëtari remained a place and a point above basement-club KS Lushnja. Bujar Muça, Drinush Elezi and Vladimir Gjoni were also on target for Shkumbini.
Poor record
KS Apolonia condemned Lushnja to their sixth defeat in ten Albanian first division games as they beat them 1-0. Kostandin Georgancev's second-half goal secured maximum points for Apolonia, who won with ten men after Ardi Muça was sent off shortly before half-time.
Late clincher
KS Dinamo Tirana are four points behind Tirana in third after they won 2-0 at KS Erzeni. After a goalless first half, Daniel Xhafa put Dinamo in front when he headed home in the 57th minute. Ilir Qorri sealed the victory in second-half stoppage time with a free-kick from just outside the area.
Encouraging start
KS Vllaznia continued their encouraging start to the season with a comfortable 3-1 home win over KS Bylis. Suad Lici and Elvin Beqiri both scored for Vllaznia before Bardhyl Elezi pulled a goal back for the visitors. Vioresin Sinani clinched the win with a 76th-minute strike.
Partizani fourth
KS Partizani are fourth after playing out a goalless draw at KS Besëlidhja, while KS Flamurtari beat KS Tomori 4-2 in the other game in the programme.
