Fenerbahçe SK remain four points adrift of 1. Lig leaders Galatasaray SK after slipping to a 2-1 defeat at home to third-placed Besiktas JK on Sunday.

Double sending off
A fairly uneventful first half was suddenly brought to life five minutes before the break when Zoran Mirkovic was penalised for a foul on Metin Tumer. The two players then confronted one another and the referee showed both the red card.

Abdullah strike
Abdullah Ercan fired Fenerbahçe into the lead four minutes after half-time with a free-kick that sailed into the top corner. Ronaldo Guiaro equalised in the 56th minute before netting the winner after 76 minutes.

Antalyaspor on the rise
Elsewhere, Antalyaspor climbed the table after a surprisingly comfortable 3-0 home win over fifth-placed Bursaspor. The visitors started brightly and were awarded a penalty as early as the second minute after Ender Alkan was brought down by Senol Yavas. However Okan Yilmaz saw his spot kick well saved by Antalyaspor goalkeeper Adnan Karahan.

Okan miss
The home side, buoyed by Okan's miss, took control of the game and took the lead in the 17th minute through Mustafa Gursel. They extended their lead on the verge of half-time, Atilla Birlik finishing off a sweeping move. Saffet Akyüz rounded off the scoring, netting his side's third in the 71st minute.

Gençlerbirligi now bottom
Malatyaspor climbed off the foot of the table with a 1-0 home win over Trabzonspor, Fazli Ulusal scoring the only goal of the game in the 52nd minute. Gençlerbirligi SK are now bottom after they went down 1-0 at home to Göztepe, for whom Mustafa Ozkan scored after 77 minutes.
