Turkey round-up: Fenerbahçe beaten

Fenerbahçe SK's title hopes took a knock after they succumbed to a 2-1 defeat at Trabzonspor on the 1. Lig on Saturday.

Zafer opener
The home side took the lead just past the half-hour mark when the Fenerbahçe defence could only clear Robson da Silva Ourique's through-ball as far as Zafer, who cracked the ball home.

Johnson scores
Ourique was again the creator after 51 minutes when his long ball sent Zafer scampering clear to score. Fenerbahçe pulled a goal back through Samuel Johnson a minute from time but still left with nothing. The result leaves leaders Galatasaray SK four points clear with a game in hand.

Quick reply
Istanbulspor AS were held 1-1 at home by Denizlispor. Muzaffer Bilazer diverted home Ali Tandogan's cross to put the visitors in front after 34 minutes but Istanbulspor levelled just three minutes later. Alioum Saidou's pass found Hadis Zubanovic, who hammered the ball home in off the post.

Miserable season
Malatyaspor's miserable season continued as they lost 1-0 away to Bursaspor to remain locked in the relegation zone. Arsim Abazi was the villain, giving away a penalty in the 29th minute when he pulled down Soleyman Fatih Sen in the area. John Lesiba Mosheou converted the spot-kick for Bursaspor to leave Malatyaspor one point off the foot of the table.

Gaziantepspor win
Goals from Hasan Vzer, Julio Cesar Antonio De Souza and Ramazan Tung secured a 3-1 win for Gaziantepspor at Göztepe. Emre Gosar got the home side's goal.
