'Arranged it himself'
Rosenborg’s director of sport, Rune Bratseth, revealed that Wisnes had set up the transfer himself. He said: "Fredrik arranged it himself. He got in touch with Hammarby."
'Something missing'
The 26-year-old Winsnes, capped three times by Norway, has played 101 games for Rosenborg but struggled to keep his first-team place this season. "I felt I needed to do something new," he said. "For the last few years it’s been nothing but Rosenborg, studying and resting. I felt I was missing something."
Football the priority
Winsnes said he would take a year's leave from his studies to become a doctor. "When I come back it'll be football and studying. For the next 12 months football will have the top priority."
