Chelsea FC managing director Colin Hutchinson has announced that he will quit at the end of the season after 15 years at Stamford Bridge.
Personal reasons
The 58-year-old has decided to leave the FA Premiership club for personal reasons and will pursue a fresh challenge after taking a break from football.
’Good season for Chelsea’
He said: "I am leaving at the end of the season. There is plenty of time left for goodbyes though and I'm intent on playing my part in ensuring that this is a very good season for Chelsea."
Key role
Hutchinson played a key role in recruiting current Chelsea manager Claudio Ranieri, as well as his predecessors Gianluca Vialli and Ruud Gullit. He recently secured a €38.5m sponsorship deal with Emirates airline.
