Russian Vysshaya Liga club FC Spartak Moscow have signed FC Fakel Voronezh goalkeeper Dmitri Goncharov on a three-year contract.
Foot injury
The 26-year-old's deal with Fakel expired recently and rather than sign an extension he chose to transfer to Spartak. Goncharov, who played for Spartak's city rivals CSKA Moscow during the 1998/99 campaign, currently has a foot injury but is expected to recover by January.
Fourth keeper
Goncharov made three appearances for Fakel this term, playing full games against both FC Saturn Ramenskoye and CSKA before being injured in the 3-1 defeat by FC Torpedo Moscow. He joins Maxim Levitsky, Maxim Kabanov and Adnan Guso as the fourth keeper on Spartak's books.
